This file contains some additional information about the available versions of the toy "pacman" and the differences between the versions. pacman-1.3q.tar.gz minor bugfix versions of 1.3 pacman-1.3p.tar.gz pacman-1.3.tar.gz (7496 bytes) source-code for pacman-1.3 (contains: Makefile.gcc, Makefile.CC, pacman.pro, pacman.cpp, runme (a demo-script to start a few pacmen at once), README and two xpm-files) Changes: "chase-mode": pacman flees from mouse ;-) tmakefile (pacman.pro) contributed by Adam Burry (see README). ready for Qt-2.x pacman-1.2.tar.gz (6167 bytes) source-code for pacman-1.2 (contains: Makefile, Makefile.sun, pacman.cpp, README and two xpm-files) Changes: License changed from GPL-alike to LGPL-alike bugfix to make pacman work on (hopefully) more Xservers (especially sun does work now, probably HCL-eXceed and maybe others) the README-file was updated. pacman-1.1.tar.gz (5757 bytes) source-code for pacman-1.1 (contains: Makefile, pacman.cpp, README and two xpm-files) Changes: major: improved performance, new option -R for solid-background-color) minor: a delay of 0 is now allowed, warwick's windoze patch is included via #ifdef _WS_WIN_ ... #endif. pacman-1.0.tar.gz (5372 bytes) source-code for pacman-1.0 (contains: Makefile, pacman.cpp, README and two xpm-files) pacman10.zip (112662 bytes) Thanks to Warwick Allison (warwick@troll.no) there is also a windoze-binary available. Not that I was a friend of Windoze, but since pacman can be quite a network-hog, you should only run it locally. Thus, when you're bound to sit at a windoze-PC you should prefer the windoze-pacman to running pacman from a unix-host onto your eXceed (or other win-Xserver) Meanwhile I've had a chance to run it myself (on Windoze95), and saw, that it behaved quite differently than the unix-version :-( (with NT it seems to work ok, btw) Who would compile me a windoze-binary for pacman-1.2 ? pacman10.warwick-patch This is an excerpt from Warwicks mail, where he describes the patches, he had to apply to make it work for windoze. (no one should really care about version 1.0 now. This file is only here, because otherwise I wouldn't be allowed to distribute the pacman10-binary.)
